Galerie Rienzo is pleased to present its 19th annual exhibition dedicated to Bernard Buffet:
“40 Years of the Clown”
This exhibition which spans the artist’s work in oil, mixed media and drawings focuses on depiction of the clown.

When interviewed for the 1994 Summer issue of Modern Painters by by Douglas Maxwell, his final question to Bernard Buffet was: How would you personally like to be remembered?
The artist replied: “I don’t know. It’ll probably be The Clown!”

The exhibition is on view from May 1 through May 31, 2004.
